Yarra Valley Home
Dreaming of sentimental family gatherings and holidays to the ski slopes, this run of the mill brick veneer home in the Yarra Valley has been completely re-imagined. The owners intended to bring a little of their overseas visits to their own little paradise and make room for a large, sociable extended family to not only visit but stay for quality periods of time.
Merging contemporary cement render, window shrouds and exposed steel, this epitomises the current ‘modern farmhouse’ trend. Whilst not a large home, a focus on outdoor spaces and the flexibility for future additions has guided the design aesthetic and structural rationale.
